Cute Dog

The individualised care your dog deserves.

My Cockerpoo, Josie, loves her walks with Gem. Gem is very knowledgable and has continued with Josie’s training on their walks together. I trust Gem 100% and can tell that Josie loves her walks with Gem. She often takes on walks at short notice and is very reliable. Highly recommended.

What makes us different?

I offer tailored, individualised care for each dog.

I specialise in nervous, and/or reactive dogs, older dogs needing extra care and attention, younger ones needing that extra pair of hands with their training, or high-drive, working dogs where the standard walk won't cut it.

I will take the time beforehand to get to know your dog personally. I will work with you to understand their needs and if you would like training to be continued on their walks, I will put together a walking plan for you and decide on routes that are suited to their requirements.

I will provide a dog walking report on request, helping you to keep track of how they've got on on their walk.

Walks will be filled with different activities that your dog personally loves. This could be scent work or brain games to name a few. Enrichment activities focusing on breed-specific fulfilment will always be a main focus. I can also leave them with a stuffed Kong or other calming activity if you'd like to request this.

In certain situations and where appropriate (and in communication with you, the guardian) I will judge whether nervous and/or reactive dogs need a rest day instead of a walk. Sometimes, nervous dogs can become trigger-stacked and at these times, I will offer a pop-in service instead where we will do brain games, scent-work and puzzle toys.

I don't offer group walks but will walk dogs from the same household (if you are looking for group walk services, please get in touch and I can recommend another dog walker).

If this all sounds good to you, please do get in touch to discuss how I can help you. I look forward to meeting you and your four-legged pal/s!
